Slice of Life Challenge Day 21:

What’s hilarious, is that whenever I find a book, it has a weird title, but it’s actually a good book. My classmates in English class tell me, “You find the greatest books with the weirdest titles.” I agree to that. I found a book called, Love Among The Walnuts, and well, it didn’t really have anything to do with walnuts! They mentioned it a little, but it was only  rich family the lived on Walnut Lane that’s lined up with walnut trees. That’s literally it. It was a great book though, a mix of sadness and mystery. I’ll recommend it, but if you’re looking for a book with walnuts, don’t get it because it’s a useless source, but it’s a great book.

Slice of Life Challenge Day 20:

One thing I hate, is when people sing random songs, or hum songs that he/she just made up. The thing is, is that they don’t even realize they’re annoying the person that’s near them! I just don’t get it. Sometimes, people do it to annoy you, but others are nice, but then every day, he/she keeps on humming! During science class, this kid sits in front of me, and he asks me weird questions, and keeps on humming! It’s been causing a lot of stress lately. I’ve asked him to stop, so he did, but the next minute, he does it again. Please teacher, when are we changing seats again?!

Slice of Life Challenge Day 18:

Here’s a life tip: When someone says, “My drawing is so bad, your drawing is so much better than mine. It literally looks like scribbles.”  it might not be exact words, but if someone says something like that, reply like this, “Thanks!” or when someone says something like they’re going on a vacation, just reply like this, “Oh cool.” or something like that. The reason why, is because people want a compliment for themselves. In art, someone told me, “On halloween, I’m going trick or treating at the White House!” I replied back, “Cool.”. Then she said, “Aren’t you happy for me? Or feel bad about yourself?” I simply said, “Not really, you’re just doing it to get compliments.” Then she said back, “That’s true, anyway, bye.” Then the bell rang. Usually when she walks down to House C, she’s usually at the back, far away, walking slowly, but that time, she speeded out in front. Learning from my experience, do it yourself, they’ll learn their lesson.

Happy Saint Patrick’s Day! I honestly don’t know the whole background, but all I know about Saint Patrick’s Day is that you have to wear green, and if you don’t, other people wearing green are allowed to pinch you. That’s literally all I know, and I think it has something to do with leprachauns (I hope I spelled that correctly) and end of the rainbow and pots of gold. That’s it, I don’t really know anything else.

Slice of Life Challenge Day 16:

Rant: Why do people brag so much?? In history, I took my unit test, and everyone knows those tests are so big and hard. The day before, I asked people who have the same teacher and they told me that it was so easy and short and it’s an easy A+. Well guess what? I took the test, it was a little hard, but not as hard because I studied a little. The next day, my friends asked me how I did, and this is exactly what they said, “Oh really? It wasn’t hard for me. I studied A LOT.” I said, “YOU TOLD ME IT WAS SUPER EASY! WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL ME THIS BEFORE?!” They replied, “Jeez, okay. Chill.” Then I just walked away in my head thinking bruh!! I started to calm down, and saw them again at lunch being calm, letting them know that I forgave them.

Whenever I say, “Keyboarding” to my friends, they always respond with a groan. I don’t really have any emotions for keyboarding. Keyboarding is actually easy, but struggling, and it’s also kind of boring. All you do is go in, log in to your computer, and do Microtype, Everfi, Keyboarding Club, or work on keyboarding homework, which mostly has to do with online essays, or one page summaries. The good thing is, that you can listen to music while you work. SPOTIFY! If you read my last post, it was all about Spotify. Anyway, I have keyboarding second semester, and I had art first semester. Art was super fun!! I have to end the year with keyboarding, but I’m fine with that though.

Does anyone have Spotify? If you don’t I highly recommend it. You can listen to music, but you have to have wifi, but you can get your premium trial for free for 30 days to listen offline. Anyway, for everyone who has Spotify, you know that it’s awesome. The cool thing is, that if your like, chinese, you can search up your favorite chinese song, and they’ll have it! They even have oldies (as in old songs)! Also, you can turn your device off, and the music will still be playing! That saves battery, and time. The best part is… THE APP IS FREE!

Slice of Life Challenge Day 13:

Oh dear, unlucky number 13, but at least it’s not Friday though. Here are some reasons why people think that 13 is an unlucky number:

  1. There were 13 people at the last supper, and one was to betray Jesus
  2. An old superstition that states that if your name as 13 letters, you’ll be cursed
  3. A witches’ coven has 13 members
  4. Traditionally, there used to be 13 steps leading up to the gallows, when it’s most likely to be 8
  5. Apollo 13 is the only unsuccessful moon mission
  6. I like this one – According to Mr. Krabs on Spongebob Squarepants, there are 13 dirty words
  7. Kids become teenagers at the age of 13, and a lot of people think being 13 is a scary phase
  8. Two presidents of The Thirteen Club were shot
  9. Friday, October 13, 1972, there  was a bad plane crash
  10. Some historians have claimed Friday the 13th the day Adam and Eve bit into the fruit that Jesus said not to eat, but the devil (disguised as a snake) was able to persuade her

Actually believe any of them? The sad thing is, that last year, my friends’ birthday was on Friday the 13th, but she had fun. I actually believe number 1, 2, 3, 6 (lol), 9, and 10. Which ones do you actually believe? Since I’m Catholic, I’m really into the one with the fruit and Adam and Eve.
